• Gloss Origin: Fiber Cross-Section and Light Reflection

The pronounced luster on this fabric's surface is not artificially engineered; it originates from the circular cross-sectional structure of Lenzing Tencel fibers. Unlike cotton fibers, Tencel fibers feature a smooth surface and a regular cross-section, causing directional light reflection rather than diffuse scattering. Under natural light, the fabric displays a soft pearlescent sheen reminiscent of silk.

• Drape and Fluidity: Balancing Rigidity and Softness

• Static drape: When hung on a hanger or laid flat, the fabric falls naturally with few wrinkles and acceptable recovery;

• Dynamic fluidity: When worn and in motion, the fabric creates undulating waves with every movements, yet it does not cling to the skin or cause a stuffy sensation due to excessive softness.

• Breathability and Thermo-physiological Comfort

Lenzing Tencel has a moisture regain of approximately 11%–13%, similar to cotton, but with a faster moisture absorption rate—meaning perspiration from the skin surface can be more quickly absorbed by the fibers and diffused to the outer surface for evaporation. In actual wear tests conducted at 30°C and 60% relative humidity, the temperature and humidity curve on the fabric's skin-contact side remained relatively stable, with no noticeable "peak stuffiness."
